GEILS BAND’ albums of the 1970s (on the Atlantic label) are where the listening fun is at. Bluesy rock ‘n’ roll with lots of great instrumentals to go with frontman Peter Wolf’s energized vocals. A recipe for excellent musical entertainment. One album cut I particularly like is the last song on the 1974 album “Nightmares . . . And Other Tales From The Vinyl Jungle”. It’s called GETTIN’ OUT. I find that I like those Atlantic “J. Geils Band” albums more now (it’s January 2017) than I did when I first bought them in the 1990s (on audio cassettes, no less).
