There was a nice movie about groupies, Almost Beautiful, it said a lot!

Now that I think of it, it was mainly the bass players I’ve always had a crush on… Roger Waters, Prince, RHCP’s Flea, Yes’ Chris Squire, Sting, Mark Sandman, John Paul Jones, Thom Yorke, Greg Lake, Mike Porcaro, Victor Wooten, the amazing young girls Tal Wilkenfeld, Esperanza Spalding… While the drummers lead the tempo, they create the soul of the band’s music. And, while fans shout and cause suffocation for the lead singers, indeed, the bass players and the drummers get all the fun :-))
