they dressed like nazi’s for a number of reasons- 1. they were very naughty boys. 2. being a rock star and a nazi are both about world domination. 3. its funny (python, mel brooks etc made numerous hilarious nazi jokes), english rock stars have that same sense of humour. 4. the uniforms look awesome. 5. being a rock star is about doing whatever the fuck ya feel like doing- including amoral / offensive behavior.

Of course we all have to get jumpy when some artists dressing as Nazis in a semi-mockery way to make a point; while keep a blind eye when the so called Allied governments secretly employs German military officials, weapon experts as advisors and partially enforcing the Nazi policy.

We all love bad guys in good uniform more than good guys in bad uniform, that’s all.
