Both were seen as symbols of rebellion by very young hardcore punks in the early 80s. Drawing a swastika on your punk rock band tee shirt was meant to offend. Thankfully we had the Dead Kennedys and MDC for those of us that didn’t think nazi imagery was cool!
Dig into 50s/60s rockabilly and see tons of that too.
Also, very anti-authority rebel motorcycle gangs used the swastika and other nazi imagery purely to freak out the normals. My guess is that’s why Pigpen was listed above; he was essentially an honorary Hell’s Angel
